I just deleted two pages of this crap and banned the usernames. Let's see how long it will last untill another wave...

Mods should have acces to username-deletion I think and also "delete all posts by user" -function like Chris said.

Just got the info from Chris by mail, I check it all now!

Update done! LOT of fake members deleted... Unbelievable!

To cut a long story short:

- Boards improvements with security updates
- Banned and non banned spammers completely deleted
- New registration process, CAPTCHA + a single question wasn't enough. It's now a bit more difficult to get the answer.
- New administrative rights for all the V3M moderators team (Chris, Steve, Andy, James, Fuse etc...): fake users can be deleted IMMEDIATELY .

I was just able (I didn't... it's ok) to change Fuse's username, password, email and ban him and all his posts This will make life much easier, cheers Aymat

Woooops, maybe too many rights!!

Still have to make some changes, it's not logical to have a global moderators group (Chris, Fuse, Steve) and then a V3M moderators team with more members. I'll delete the last one and modify the first one...

EDIT: there is something wrong for the moment... the permissions for the global moderators group aren't ok, let me solve this problem...

I noted I couldn't see the new forum earlier, I now can.

That explains why me Steve and Marko could ban before and the others couldn't at least!

Chris' update, I can no longer manage users from the users page, I can however go to the admin control panel and go via "prune" to delete a member and all their posts. Want me to keep updating Aymat?

Yup, there is something wrong with permissions somewhere... I want you to be able to manage users from the users page of course. I think I'll reset everything and create new permissions.

When you say that you can do it through the admin panel and then the prune option, could you please send a printscreen of it? I'm not sure we're talking about the same screen. Thanks!!

EDIT: I created a test account, I see now what you mean, it's a light version of the admin panel. I better erase all the rights and create something new, PhpBB isn't user friendly at all for this...
