On my unit there's a white sticker that says:

210529
S 100941 - 414 A
Bendix

On the unit where the coil sits there's this code engraved:
L21 S100512002

And on the underside of the black connectors there's this:
Renix 31 S 100 513

On the side of the unit there's this number stamped with ink:
6343414-57

And on top of the unit next to the sticker there's "Renix" and "Made in France".

How could I check if this is the correct unit for my car because there is a possibility that it was already replaced by previous owners.

Also thanks for that link.

Hello 360 GL,

The only numbers that match, are:

Renix 13 S 100513 on the back of the black connectors.

And of course "Renix made in France".

I cannot assure you that this unit will fit your car.

My Volvo dealer could not solve the problem either.

Their answer: "When we suggest that this part should be replaced,
we just order the one that was in the car at that moment".

What a silly answer, however.

I checked the service manual of a 1987 model, and on page
103 it says that the 2-liter(K) engine needs unit S 100 941 414A.
So yours is right. Does anyone have a service manuel of model
year 1985? Could he/she look it up? Then I can be sure.

Thanks!

François

Yep I have that and the answer is:

In 1985: Renix 204516
In 1986: Renix 5100 930 407

OK, thank you Duvel78!
My unit is suitable for 1985 models equipped witk a B200K engine.
Las known price (in Holland): 310 euro excl. VAT.
That's about 370 euro incl. VAT. Incredible price! Have they become
mad? It's cheaper to buy a complete car, rip off the unit and other things
and after that bring it to the scrap yard.

I think I keep it in stock, unless someone needs it.
