I really feel sorry for the car.
From an outside view (i.e. I've only seen it appear advertised on here, then ebay, then Brooklands, then ebay again) it looks like a car that wasn't used very much, that people are just buying to swing a profit on.
What that car *needs* is someone who can take it on and not just bodge the rustwork like an awful lot of cars (inc 300s) I've seen have had done. There are a hell of a lot of cars that claim "no welding" when they have instead have had all the scabs just covered over with filler and paint. If the car is to last as well as it has done i.e. more than another 3 years without it becoming a major restoration, it needs that windscreen looking at very soon, along with the tail gate hinges. Thing is, anyone who understands what work is required is less likely to pay the silly price knowing the upcoming costs and the cycle continues.
No one is yet prepared to take on a major restoration 300, though earlies are getting to the scarcity level where I expect some might soon.
(EDIT:ok... I can think of one)
