Yes there is.. B200ET. Most 740 turbos are 2 litre in here because of the harder taxing for cars with over 2 litre engines at the 80's. And it doesn't have mechanical injection. B200ET has Motronic. About B200FT I'm not sure which injection system does it have because we didn't get those. All 940 turbos were 2.3l in here. B200ET has 160hp and FT 155hp.
If I would have the cash I would go to 16V 2.5l Penta with SPM bottom end and headwork done by some very good shop. Or if I would have very much cash I would go to 2.8l EVO engine.

All the B200 and B230 engines have electronic injection yes. I meant the B21, the older version from the early 200-series. The B200FT is the one with the lambda sond.
I looked up a list with cars. And the 940's came with 135, 155 and 165 HP. Which versions are this? The 135 HP is the LPT is guess.. are the others the HPT and FPT?

A 16V engine wil require a custom bonnet because the 16v head won't fit under a stock one.
I'm planning a B230FT conversion in the near future because I now drive a company PUG. I can afford to have the 360 off the road for a couple of months...
I'll keep you all updated on the progress...
did some research, the dude with the 2.0 ltr turbo has an imported 360 from italy. so need to steel his car and engine just kiddin'
I think I'll just fit in a B230FT, nice engine, nice sound. and a bit more HP
I'm going to fly my 360 around Holland
I was thinking a nice engine swap in a GLS would be a B230K with twin carbs... 160bhp? I think the B230k is around 130bhp-ish stock. But as its carb it should be VERY simple to fit into a 300.
The other problem with the 16valve is you need a complete engine as the head is expensive to fit on to a std bottom end. There is a lot involved. My dad has been looking at it for his 240. We are now going to fit the complete engine and I shall fab up some mounting brackets.
Nah, the 16v head will fit fine on the standard (stronger) bottom end - you just need new tensioner pulleys from VW.
Do a search for 16v on turbobricks.com and you'll find all the info you need.

A few points...
B200/230s DID come with mechanical injection (and electronic...)
Both are available turbo and NA
Both are available 8v and 16v, although there was never a 2.3 16v turbo (all other combinations exist)
The 16v head WILL fit in the engine bay of a 300
Fitting the 16v head to an 8v block is a bit of a PITA, but probably worth it, especially where further modifications will take place.
If I get round to doing a 'sane' 360 Turbo project, it will feature either a B230FT, or B200FT, but with the 'low power features' (cat, cam, and head on the B230) swapped for the ET versions. I'm using the FT to keep LH-Jetronic 2.4 for control...far superior to Motronic. The B200 with a hot cam seems to be a good idea, as the head suits the B200 better than the B230, and a revvy B200 will produce less torque than a lower revving B230 for the same peak bhp figure...torque = drivetrain death.

No it's not. Actually without IC it's not that much.. I need an IC and more boost.
This one Finnish guy got his 340DL running with Megasquirted 2.5l 16V Penta. (B230 block, penta crank and 532 16V Penta head) Drivetrain is from 360. I posted this already in to Tbricks but I'll post it in here too. There are some pics:
It is currently NA but he says that when he gets everything in order and running good in NA he is going to turbo it later.
What comes to engine mounts with turbo, they don't need modification if you place your turbo right or make a new exhaust manifold. I have 80's style 90-degree bent bolted on to the stock manifold but it will do with my current power needs.. Though I have seen two 360 Turbos which had stock manifold and stock T3 and no adapters or modified engine mounts so I guess if you place the turbo right it will fit without any mods. Though if you are a good welder you can make your own engine mounts which will suffice.
For example here are some pics of a self made engine mount of a 240 Turbo in which the engine is placed vertically.
That 240 btw is a crazy car.. It ran 11,93 with trap speed of 193km/h in quarter mile in it's first race and it is street legal. Though he sold the engine already and is aiming for more power with a 16v setup. Old engine looked like that: http://www.multi.fi/~andrnorr/temp/1.jpg
There are some more pics in this topic, not a 360 though but someone might find these interesting : http://www.volvolandia.com/landia/index ... 35;start=0

Fuse, I heard this story about a finnish dealer that fitted turbo's on 360's. Do you know anything about that? What kind of turbo was fitted, and how much bhp does it pump out?
Leather, leccy windows and mirrors, snowcap, foglights, open air filter, black roof upholstery. What more do you want? >a 2.3 turbo!
Text in finnish though but main parts used also in 360 were Garret T3 Turbo, 240 exhaust manifold and a fuel pump which will work under boost. Carb in our GL is Weber 32DAT instead of Strömberg in 240 so some modification were made. Though I have seen one 360 Turbo with Strömberg so there are some differencies what parts were used. But mainly 360 turbos built by dealer were based on 240 R-Sport kit.
Edit: And estimated power output was ~140hp for that package without intercooler. Of course it depends on boost, cams etc... but that was the estimated value when running stock boost.

I've heard that mounting an 8v engine upright causes the oil pockets in the head to not stay filled properly, potentially causing under-oiling of the valvetrain. I hope the same isn't true of the 16v head, as they look SO much better upright.
