Oh, believe me, the bleeper works

I didn't know about starting in P until I got home and read the owner's handbook yesterday, so I did unfortunately start in P a couple of times. Hope I didn't do any major damage

I've been looking at GSF and Eurocarparts and I'm a bit confused about engine types. GSF list only 340 DL with a B14.2E and a GL with a B14.4E. From my owner's manual I don't think I could have a B14.4E and the service history indicates my engine as B14.2E. Is this right?

It seems like no one has distributor parts for the B14.2E - apparently a clip rather than screw-on cap. Is this going to be a problem for me?

yes, you've got a B14.2e. Probably the only place to try is Volvo itself. They won't have the parts list on the computer, but they should be able to look it up in their catalogues/old microfiches.
