Nah, those are nothing like R rims :D

I'm thinking of this front splitter. This one has been extended but it's the clearest view of it I can find right now.

http://mojeauto.net/fotki/vw/golf_11.jpg

It does look slightly different (wider dividing pieces on the one on the 300), but the shape is almost identical. My theory is that it's at least based on a mk4 golf one. It matches the shape of the appatures almost perfectly.

cheers

in bestest antique roadshow voice

here we have a classic piece ,
the audioline 5 band graphic equalizer and booster , from the late 1970's early 80's
( I remember these when they came out  )
lovely little item, it erm equalized and boosted your standard head unit and had pretty little flashing lights, as you turned the bass up more lights lit up,it was independantly switched so you could use your stereo with or without it
( in fact I had one in my mk2 cortina   which had two tone brown and beige fur interior and was called rappers delight    )

quite the thing in its day

History lesson over

I if I wasn't fitting my OEM kit, I would be tempted to look along a more modern bumper, I didn't think it would work, but that polo/golf one looks tight as, especially painted.

The reason I reckon it's a polo is the fact the middle vent goes higher than the side ones, unlike the golfs all flat top line.
