This is what my brother does to engines - dont let him drive yours!
Fair play it drove 20miles home and drove a few times around the yeard after.

Thats why my beast 16v penta redblock engine is getting SPM rods and venoila pistons! see if 2 bar of boost can bend these....
(bottom rod is one of 4 that are now nessling in the block

)

In fairness to Matt NO BOOST for that one. The engine had 198,000 ish on it when it put the rod through the block. I have also come across another 240GLT same age similare milage having done the same thing. Is suspect it must have been a minor manufacturing fault that caused it to happen. A bit of glue on the block and another rod the engine would have been fine
