Well i'm not 100% sure but I think you need to use the b200ft ecu and injectors as the b200e ecu wouldn't be mapped for when the turbo comes on boost. As said by James in the post above with the right breathing mods and a bigger turbo 200bhp should be achievable but thats going to be limited by the b200ft ecu. The best bet is to use the smaller mitsi turbo as the b200ft ecu will only take about 11psi which this turbo is capable of producing so there's no point in going larger. Its not going to be masses of power but considering how "bolt on" it all is it should be a decent upgrade probably get 160bhp+ in a car that weighs just over a ton, not a bad power/weight ratio really!

You could (with very light boost) run on the B200E ECU(s), but it's dodgy....and why bother?

Brakes are a matter of opinion. I'm still nowhere near overstretching my brakes with 140bhp, so I haven't touched them...yet...

The drivetrain parts (on a 360) ought to be good to about 250bhp with average driving. It's massively influenced by how you drive. That's a speculative figure - all you can really do is suck it and see.

Personally, I'd use the Mitsubishi turbo. It spools earlier (which is nice), flows well enough for the 2.0 (more of a problem for the 2.3), and upgrades in the same family are easy from people upgrading their T5s.

I believe so. Plenty of spare duty cycle when used on a B200!

Will it be just the swap of the ECU from the B200FT in place of the B200E ECU? Or are there more changes to be made in the wiring loom?

My motive of doing this will be just to have a turbocharged engine and some more power. There's something really cool about having a turbo in a 360, but i don't really want more then about 150-160 bhp.

No, you'll need the complete engine loom and sensors for the B200FT (or a B230FT, as long as it has LH-Jet 2.4).

regarding engine mounts and the transmission.

will the B23ET engine from a 740/760 just drop in or will new mounts need to be fabricated?

sorry for asking what may be obvious questions but ive been searching all night on here and google to no avail.

Going to have to wait for James to clarify that but I *think* that you need one custom engine mount, a custom downpipe and use the 360 sump

i figured the exhaust would have to be modified but thats a given for me anyway.

forgot to ask the transmission question :oops:
i take it i have to use the transmission from the donor vehicle?

Nope.. well if you have a 360 then all you need to change is the engine and electrics.

Theres a guy in the UK getting 305bhp out of a 2.3 turbo (I think) in a 360 with the standard gearbox/torque tube/diff

The block will bolt in, but you may well find that the turbo hits the stock mount. There are two designs of turbo (each with a matching manifold), and it's very possible that one will fit and the other won't. Which fits and which doesn't...pass.

How so? Are the block mountings different on a 'Bxx', or is it a clearance issue?

It's a clearance issue. Someone from V3C is busy with that project. The turbo on the B23ET he's using is too low for the standard engine mount.

He made a very nice custom mount:

You can always make a new exhaust manifold too. Flows much better than stock one too... :P
