I had been tinkinking of throttle bodies on the 1.7/2.0 engine. I think husky is spot on bike carbs is the way to go.
Bodies with ms would be nice :D

Remember that some bikes have ITBs too - a lot cheaper than calling Jenvey!

Does any one here know of ones that will bolt onto the webber manifold?

I'm not sure any bike carbs will. Husky was saying that it's better to use ITBs with the injectors on the manifold rather than the TB...the closer the injectors are to the head, the better.

The thing is I (being so different) would be putting the injectors above the valve as I can use manifold straws.

slightly off topic i know but i've been reading up on the R5 1.4 motor alot and have found it most interesting.this applies to the r5 block so i pressume its same block as a 340 ?
the block was designed in 1956 !! lol 50 yrs old this year . in its original form the renault dauphine 845cc was 38 bhp.the engine was used in the dauphine,r4,r5,r8,r10,r11 and r12 . over the years renault tinkered with bores/strokes etc and it became 956,1108,1289,1397 and finally in the late 80's[?] 1419cc.
in the 80's when the maxi turbo was group b rallying, the motorsport division took the engine to its max . 1527cc,bosch injection, garrett turbo........350BHP!!!!!!!! still 2 valves per cylinder, pushrods, year 1956 designed block........amazing
the r5 gt turbo in standard form[turbo/carb]was 120bhp where as the slightly earlier r5 turbo 2[inj/turbo]was 160bhp .
the next bit got me confused because i didnt know whether they were talking about the carb or injection version but for very lttle money they could get 200bhp. for a lot of money[not as much as the renault rally team]they could get 300bhp !!
what they call little money may not be little to us as they state 2006 prices of gasflowed complete head £370,forged pistons £499 including vat/postage[bloody want to be]!

bike carbs rock when set up right
