Fitting slightly larger wheels on the rear (in theory) will counter balance the high diff ratio..? Or am I overlooking something.
I thought about this, to try and improve motorway economy, dunno if would work though...
Cheers

It will work in theory but the larger rolling resistance may not give any fuel advantage due to the extra load on the engine to move the bigger boots.
Plus milkfloats may beat you away from the lights

here is the only company i know of that lists roll cages for 300's:
http://www.heigo.de/
in 2004 i enquired at safey devices, here is there reply

:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email.
We do not manufacture off the shelf roll cage for Volvo 360. We can design,
manufacture and fit a roll cage designed to your requirements at our
Development Department. The cost of a 6 point bolt in cage with single door
bars, diagonal and harness bars would be £1600 plus VAT. We would require
the vehicle for a week. The earliest we could book you car in is in the
first week in July.
Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us
again.
Kind regards,
Norbert Truszczynski

It looks like I will need to build my own one for the rally car project in that case. I'm surprised by safety devices. What about if we grouped together and had a couple built?

if they got 1 car as a sample/trial im sure they reproduction price from safety devices would be more realistic

When some of my local building sites misslay some scaffolding tube you know where its gone
No I'll be using some lighter tubing than that but I will have to build my own for cost reasons.

Kev Strong and Mark Higgins have cages, and I'm pretty sure Kev's has SD stickers on is (although who knows if it really is!). I have a feeling they may be cages from other cars.
cheers
