Hmm, what about steel covered brake hoses? That would fit also to spirit of brake upgrades and those really give better feeling to brake pedal :)

Thats the plan when i can afford a set, the advantage is i can just go and buy a set for an impreza and they will bolt straight on!!!

Take a look at that.
I dont want to disclose drop bracket dimensions etc really as this kit took nearly a year to design and build. Although i have sold the rear brake design to Nev who drifts the 300.

Selling your Uni/College/School projects is teh way forward if they are good enough, which this clearly is. I hope that whoever picks it up is going to offer it as a selling product though, I'm sure the 360 cup boys would be intrested, as well as a few of us over here.

Although, and don't take this the wrong way Adam as you know I have a lot of respect for the stuff you've done, I'd love to know you've done some force calculations and that fo example the caliper brakets wouldn't move/bend if you are looking at selling it. I don't know where any repercussions would lie if the sh!t hit the fan one day for someone who had bought a set from a company making them.

Just watching your back mate ;)

Adam, out of interest what you doing when you've finished college (I assume you've now finished in fact)? I hope you're either doing some kind of engineering at uni, or moving onto somewhere where you can use your talents.

If you started producing upgrade kits (or sold it to someone who would) I'd definately be interested in buying them!

Yeh i'm off to Uni in September to do motorsport engineering and thats when more research will go into the brakes re weight saving etc and alloy brackets being made. I may have a cheeky plan for ABS but dont know on that one yet!!!
Although strength wise chris its beefed up from standard so all should be fine!!
For those seriously interested, you can jump in and have a ride at the next meet.

Definately bagsying me a ride! Glad you are going to uni mate, I'm sure last time we chatted about it you weren't sure. Where are you heading up? A lot of us will be able to do a good job of answering questions, just remember, it's not like what you think it's gonna be!

On the downside, for me... I'll finish uni the same time as you I'm guessing :(

I looked at a Swansea prospectus when I was looking at unis and their motorsport stuff sounded ace! They even have cars that they enter into different events, don't they?

Good luck with it, judging by all you've done to your car you should be really suited to it. Impress them :)

A lot of uni's enter go kart championships, as well as some entering in a full on single seater formula, I know we have one stashed somewhere, but I didn't get involved in that. There is also inter uni rally events too, so keep your eyes peeled ;)

Yeah I know about the formula student, and I did see a leaflet at uni, but no information about our uni participating. I've been looking to see if they do anything like this, but not that I've seen :(
