Finally back home after a half year studying and traveling around the world.
Got the car out of its garage and fitted the rims straight away..
The car is weary useful BTW, my mates Silvia had some ignition issues and never started, so i towed the car home..
Haven't got those 80mm springs yet...... So i spent some money on a 240 lowering set, and used the rear springs, just needed to cut of the top a bit:

Gotta lower more, but I need stiffer dampers in front.. Are there dampers from other cars who fit? I cant find konis to the 300 series anywhere
I'm lowering the rear end as soon as i get hold of something i can use

A small update, when the other guys where mocking around with the Silvia i got bored and drilled some holes... Where? Yup here:

Most of the time I also don't get response..
About the dampers, just keep looking. I also have a set. I mount them today, damn what a difference
Maybe try to change the original dampers for the time you dind't find anything else?: motorcylce spring oil SAE 30 or 40, the fatest you can find. 275 cc per damper. Just read that somewhere, really don't know what it does.

Thanks.. I have found me a swede who sells Lip dampers to my car. I will buy those so the damper problem is probably solved. And btw I'm getting 2" escort mk1\2 blocks tomorrow

Looking really nice. There are a lot of nice cars about, and some of us are just too lazy to reply to all and say so. Just cause no one says anything, don't think we aren't interested

Yeah, it's holiday time as well, so there probably aren't quite as many of us around as usual ...
Was it hard getting hold of your lowered front springs? Just had a quick lookup and only one manufacturer (Quinton Hazell) seemed to have GLT-spec front springs on offer ...

Yeah i know, low season for discussion forum.
The springs are lowering springs from the Volvo 240 series, the rear spring much like those on the 360. So i used them. Some Opel\Vauxhall, Volvo 740 and sierra rear springs will fit too

Rather than drilling the airbox, I would run a pipe big enough from the box to the front so filter gets cold air all the time.
Is it much stiffer with the 240 springs?

I only drilled so it would suck cold air i did`t drill on the engine side. Besides i am tempted to ether go the Weber way or maybe put on some form of injection so its only temporary, but the sound is great
Yes they are stiffer, that is because I used lesjefjørs lowering springs for the 240.
The Escort Blocks was almost a straight fit:
It looks pretty nice now, it`s really low.. And it has become a better ride, because somehow the block stiffens up the suspension.. But its now lower on the left side, 3cm lower than the right side on the car, why? Busted damper?

TBH Nothing should change suspension wise as the damper position doesnt change.

The anti-tramp bar thingy mounts to the axle, right? Could that be throwing out the geometry on one side if you lower it enough? It does on 240s - it throws the wheel towards the back of the wheel well unless you shorten it.
