There's been a lot of talk of doing this conversion on this forum, but nice to see someone who's actually done it in this country.

I agree - pics are necessary - especially of the exhaust manifold area!

Out of interest, how did you get along with the wiring/ecu stuff?

I asked Makkiver about the clutch and he wasn't sure about from which Golf it is either.. It is from the one which has the splines of the same size, MAYBE from MK2 Golf but he wasn't sure.. Some Opels use the same disc also,

I'll ask from this one other guy who had the Golf disc in his 360 also, maybe he will know more.

ok cheers mate still havent found a clutch as yet one of my mates reckon a vauxhall clutch may fit possible a calibra turbo one im going to get clutch out this weekend may just try a new volvo one now as cant use it at the moment maybe worth a gamble, answer to wiring question is im only running about 10 wires from the whole loom and runs fine the way i done it is that i had a spare 740 turbo and quickest way was to keep taking wires out till it stopped running it was quick and easy running everything else the same as if it was in a 740 ecu etc which i have mounted in drivers footwell i will get the pics just want to get clutch sorted first cheers for everyones help :D

hello

I went to a company and got a sintered clutch disc custommade. They used the splines from my old disc.

2250 NOK, about 180 Pounds.

I will also use the 740 Turbo pressureplate on the picture. I haven't mounted it, so i don't know how well it works.

Turbo pressure plate should work fine as long as it's the correct size. :)
