hello guys!

so it seems the damp on the friction plate seems plausable then just like those nissan rear brake shoes.

however, Ive not noticed the 1.4 or 1.7s doing this so maybe is a consequence of the 360 renix ignition belhousing as rupert mentions?

even with similar cluthes, Im thinking the different bell housings of the 2,7,9s avoid this problem making it 360 specific?

1.4s and 1.7s also have a cutout for the renix VR sensor...and there are VR sensor holes in the bellhousings of late 240s, some 700s, and most 900s. If this is the cause, there must be something else making this so common in 360s - perhaps the manner in which the drivetrain is mounted? Rupert says his 760 sometimes does it though. Hmm!

cheers

Several guys driving 200 and 700 series cars have told me that it has started when they had to slip clutch bit more than normal, but is cured with good clutch heating (few full throttle take offs from lights), don't know if this applies to this problem, though, also I'm not going to test that method

Stupid question - where is the cutout for the renix sensor on the casing?
