Yeah, removing the engine is great if you've got all the tools to do it, but without it, this is the best way.

Great work...You'll be rolling soon. But what about that suspension? It does look a bit dodgy or it's just in the pic ?
BTW I'd like my engine to be THAT clean. Anyway it look like brand new for 10 eus

Good work
Those 1.7 are great engines... the carburettor is the worst part of it.

have you had any luck getting an air filter housing and pipework yet Will ? you do not want to run it for too long without those fitted. also dont forget to reconnect the hose from the engine breather, (bottom right of last picture )
you have done really well considering this is your baptism in owning a 300 , keep up the good work

here is some more pics i think i would win the competion for must posted pics in a week
i have to take it for an MOT it has 2 months already but i cant register the car in my name unless it has 18months and also i cant get insurance till its in my name

so in a few days i will take it to the local MOT center just down the road instead of going to are normal place which is 50km away.
i also toke the car for its first drive round the block (not really on the road) for a test (i do remeber i have no insurance

)
and my latest mod
as you can see i polished the car lots of elbo grease and look whats happend,..... its rained

so now there will be dust all over the car
More stuff will happen after MOT!

The suspension is very dodgy but i wait for MOT man to tell me if its really bad. in which case dai will have more buisness

It's very rare for those bushes to fail an MOT as you tend not to get play with it as such. The problem with leaving them that way is they will be trapping moisture resulting in the shaft rusting away!

well when funds acord i will be ordering some of those thingys and when i go to england i may beable to order springs and lowering blocks depending on how much my injection things are going to cost plus delivery is cheaper to england than france so its more worth it.
i would pick em up but herts to wales is a long way...although south of france to herts is much further 1000km heheh
Cheers for your help and advise dai
