sm4 Good work, Mr Redline. I'm glad you cleared that one up.

I must confess that I have enjoyed the occasional lager, but they've usually come from the Czech Republic. Note to the uninitiated: Real Budweiser is not flavourless American muck.

As hinted at by Redline though, don't forget that beer can affect your eyesight.

^^ and by beer you mean bitter? like ipa? GREEN KING?

Oi, don't tar all students with that brush... I drink 90% ale when it comes to achyholic stuff. Aymat didn't take that well to beer when he came over here!

Hobgoblin posters rock though... And germ, IPA (indian pale ale, the fermenting process was used to help during the transit of the stuff to the colonies ;)) and bitter are types of beer, Green King is a long established brewery.

Just for conversation point, are we ranking Tetley's dubiously smooth above or below lager? I reckon it should be below, as you get some good lagers, and it alienates the masses as to what beer actually is!

Bitters are a type of beer, yes. As Redline's post says, there's loads, from various parts of the world.

IPA = India Pale Ale IIRC, brewed lighter for colonial types in hot places (like India), back when we had an empire...

Personally, I'm a Cider drinker, another drink that comes in many varieties, some of which (the cheap mangy ones that taste almost as bad as lager) are abused by chavs to give the whole lot a bad name :(

edit: Chris - doesn't the Tetleys stuff come out of a Lager pump? Obviously can't count...

Mick, aren't images like that a tad inappropriate - I removed it earlier, and now it's back - since I inadvertently opened it on my break at work!

If that's the effects of beer redline said, i'll consider to start drinking it....I do not like the taste of beer ( oh well, there's one i tried ( Krugher & brent ) and afer a 1/4 of the classic glass i felt fizzy...then i notice it had 8%o of alcohol )., i prefer good old Jack Daniels on the way. But since i didn't taste a drop for 7 months i think I'll have a different taste when i taste alcohol again ( if i do in some future ).

I've seen enough of those pics redline post, and I'm sick of them. That's one of the reason i quit drinking any alcohol.

But those images appeared before, nothing to be scared of, except if you see a pile of sexy women showing their backs after a good number of beers. Than mate, you're in deep trouble :D

Should I be offended by this post?

Nah, I think it is good to keep site free of that kind of stuff, we go to what boys want site if we like to see that and here it is better to see more cars, at least I kind of like from this :)

no Jani not at all ,

It is funny though that for every one person who complains there seem to be 3 or 4 people who enjoy a good laugh and aren't so easily upset just look at all the "pro " comments on the over 18 joke thread and thats without the emails and pm's I got asking what all the fuss was about .

I can just imagine the scene when SteveP on his break ( yeah right probably just skiving lol) opened the page .

desperately trying to get off the thread while looking round to see if any one saw ,
it was probably funnier than the pictures lol

but at the end of the day.
there was no nudity involved and unless you work in a monastry I can't honestly see many people being offended by those pictures.

I have probably deleted more offensive posts ( mainly by fake members) than anyone here

perhaps, if enough people want it , we should consider an official
"over 18" section for adult jokes where access can only be granted by a moderator,

many other car forums have these ,like overbores sandpit, what do others think ?

to be honest I find it more offensive to read about things like .

people driving other peoples cars without insurance and no means of repaying the owner if they crash

and seeing videos of certain members of this forum driving dangerously on the public road putting other drivers and their families lives at risk.

but I guess thats just me .

The entry for Tetley's in the Oxford Bottled Beer Database is one of the shortest on the site:

"Vaguely nice; verging on the boring, yet drinkable. 5/10 for taste."

Seems a bit generous to me, but there is worse stuff on the market.

"Whatever happens there will be someone who takes it too seriously" A quote I remember reading from somewhere (think another Clarkson but there you go)

[rant]
I had a mate in the cadets years ago from Trinidad, he was playin with my phone and change my profile name to "Morris (his name) my nigga" and of all the people who saw my phone not 1 person complained bout it.

I'm not racist ( I have coloured mates), sexist (I have as many female mates as i do male), ageist (I do a lot of work for older people) or anything -ist I enjoy a joke on any of the subjects (within reason) and I don't see why, if there lighthearted why anybody does.

At school people took the micky out o every1 and were expected to give it back, and the same on the pheasant shoot I used to work on, you take the mickey and you expected the same back (usually about my poor old 340 :( )

It only a problem when you get small minded people who give out the insults but get high and mighty when you send it back at them.

Just to leave you with a quote that was aired after the jade goody episode "If a white person calls a black person "black trash" then its racist but if a black person calls a white person "white trash" its fine." Explain that 1.

[/rant]

And I drink cider not larger or beer!
And on a more intelligent note... Find X on the exam question. The answer is 5.
