Thanks to every one that voted for me!
well ive been thinking about a topic and not had much luck....i thought :DRIVE BY
so you drive and take a pic while the car is moving, idealy the car would be in focus and the back ground blur, but it would look very interesting how ever it comes out
give me some thoughts on this good bad idea etc
and any other ideas would be recieved very happily.
Thanks

My gut instinct says nice idea, however it is going to be illegal on the public highway, due to the use of a handheld electronic device to distract the driver..... If using a mobile phone which is normally just talked into and lsitened to is illegal, operating a complex camera with screen etc isn't going to down too well with dear Mr Plod! Not wishing to urinate on anyones proverbial bonfire and appear very boring, but it could be quite dangerous and attract a fine.....!
If it was confined to off road...... and safe places then maybe, but it might limit people on finding a suitable spot.......
I know what you mean though about the pictures being artistic and interesting, got some interesting pics when we went to Belgium from Andy's car as the sun was setting.

Ohh, very interesting. I've got a few pics that were taken around Christmas that would suit that perfectly
It'd also be very interesting if the pics were taken from the outside of the car, by someone other than the driver, although this will require the co-operation of a friend... I've often wanted to do some motion photography if a suitable location arose.

Dave's avatar rocks! Erm, right, ok, could be an interesting one this.

potentially a great photo subjectMJ wrote:It'd also be very interesting if the pics were taken from the outside of the car, by someone other than the driver, although this will require the co-operation of a friend...
surely to stay within the spirit of the competition it would require the friend to be driving the car while the V3M member took the photo ,

Ahh... I don't like the sound of thatredline wrote:surely to stay within the spirit of the competition it would require the friend to be driving the car while the V3M member took the photo
I think this is a belting idea for a competition, the only problem is that I don't want some other numpty either driving my car, or using my camera!
That said... maybe we could keep this title for a time when we have a big meet (hehe, I said big meat!). And then could photo each other!
On the other hand, my dad also has his S40, so I could always take a photo of that!
I don't quite know what you mean about my avatar! I wasn't moving, just making lots of noise and annoying the neighbours!

Couple of random ideas:
- Planes, trains and automobiles - photos with other modes of transport?
- Close ups - could be artistic?
- Nature
