Hmmm, need to check which ones of those two mine are, I have a feeling it's the lower ones....

I'd expect them to be the upper ones - they're more common. If they *are* Atlas, and they were free....
1) You're a bastard
2) I'm coming to steal them just to spite you

I call it karma...free nice alloys = a month of abuse!!
cheers

Yes....He's definitely a bastard! However, he can't fit them yet because he doesn't have the (right) nuts for alloys...sorry...couldn't resist
Good work Chris. I actually can't believe how well you've done to get those. If I add up what it cost me to get my alloy on the car...
cheers

I was looking at a website about wheel fitments etc
do alloys from any other manufacturers fit the 300's ? early vw's seem to have the same p.c.d and offset , its just the centre bore that different (bigger on the vw ), some vauxhalls have the same pcd but different offset are these useable on our cars ? I have heard you can get a thing called a spigot that is like a ring that takes up the gap between the hubs centre bore size and that of the new wheel . any idea if this is right ?

I've got alloys now anyway. It's those kinda deal that make playing with cars a pleasure - I've had plenty of deals that good in my time!
As for other manufacturers....I'm not sure you actually need the right centre bore (as long as its bigger on the rim!). There's no reason why they wouldn't fit, although I'd stay with Volvo rims, or go aftermarket.

Just got back from the weekend... yeah, OK then James, so I can't put them on yet! Not that much of an issue, need to get the tyres too. Shame I won't have them sorted by the meet, but then my cars in bit of a state at the mo, and I'm sure we'll have another one!!!

You're not the only one whose car will be less than A1...I wouldn't worry about it!

Damn you too! Those are getting quite sought after. Irony is, if you find some, you'll most likely get them for peanuts (a nice set sold for £10 or so on ebay a while back), but finding a pair in a hurry is nigh-on impossible...
cheers
