wobblyness can be a little annoying at first but when you get the hang of it (and fit new rear dampers ;) ) 360's can be pretty neat throught the corners

Interesting looking 205 you have there! Don't see many XTs about.

The 360 should do you well as a temporary car, and you should have a little bit of fun in it, especially coming from a FWD car ;)

What's the XT got? Is that the injection version of the XS?

I think the XT replaced the XS in 1992 and in '93 all carb TU engines were phased out due to emissions.

^^and the inj ones had 90-95hp pritty good, the tu was forgoten by many but its tuning potential is still very good and there are company's that specialise with em,(when they didnt in the early 90's)

Great little cars but i think 300's are better ;D

Nice car you have there look after her. :)

Thanks guys, the Peugeot info is allmost right but i have to make a few corrections

The 205 XS started production in 1984 with the old style "lean back" engine (gearbox in the sump) fitted with twin webber carbs and running about 80bhp.

It was then a few years later graced with the TU series engine and fitted with a twin-choke solex carburettor producing about 85bhp.

It then moved in to the phase 1.5 where power output ect stayed the same but the bodywork and interior was revised

Production of the XS ended in 1992 before it made it in to Phase 2 models but it was then replaced with the XT, Which was practicallyt he same as the XS but it had a slightly milder cam so power was reduced from 85 to 75. The XT production lasted from 1992 to 1994 which is why you dont see many of them about.

The GTX was the injected version of the XS but it it only had 80bhp due to a restrictive induction/injection system. However the multi-point injection system from an AX GTI would bump that straight to 100bhp.

Incase you havent allready realised i'm a bit of an anorack when it comes to my Peugeot  and although mine has only got 86.9 bhp (i had it on the dyno recently) it also only weighs 770kgs so it goes like a bloody rocket :D

Heh, me too ;)

I had a 1990 XS (ph 1.5) which I used for road rallies. Blew a piston ring on it though, and changed the engine for an early one from a 106, which I imagine had the same slightly milder cam of the XT (it was from a 75bhp SPI car). I put the Solex carb on to it, and although it didn't rev quite as well it didn;t lose much performance. Fantastic little piece of kit for what it is! What I'd really like is one of the European Rallyes - 1.3 TU engine with a mental 100+bhp and IIRC the 'proper' front suspension found on the GTi/TD models! Nice

Anyways, enough of that, or I'll get banned!!
