Sky is the name I use on all the Multiplayer games I play. So I just use it for everything now.
My real name is Chris and I am redlines son.
I Don't own a Volvo, I drive a Vauxhall Corsa (hope thats not offensive to you guys) and I only passed my test last Friday

.
Just wanted to see what my dad goes on about all the time for myself

I must say, I am really very offended that you drive a Corsa, mate.
LOL
We all have our own preference..

Fair enough mate. I have no problem with that at all. I'm sure you're proud of your humble motor
You're fucked if you crash though

Tom there, being the expert on what to drive if you crash....
Welcome Sky! Is your dad someone we'll know, or just another random 300-series-loving lunatic? For what it's worth, I learned in a Tigra (basically a Corsa), and it scared me off them for life!! I can understand you wanting something newer - the wind noise is my main beef with the 'oldness' of the 300s. However, there's nothing quite like thrashing a Saxo VTR off the line (*) in a 16 year old barge...and knowing you're getting cheaper insurance!
cheers
James
* - A 360 isn't actually quicker...but you usually win because a) you've got better traction and low-down torque, and b) they don't see it coming, so don't bother building the revs up!

James , what do you mean " Is your dad someone we would know or just another random 300series loving lunatic " . its me REDLINE as he put in his post .Still I suppose it was quite late when you read his post so I will forgive you this time for calling me random LOL . The corsa wasn't my idea by the way althogh, being a 1.2 16valve its quite nippy. Yes I have driven it and I did wash my hands afterwards.oh and its red as oppossed to pink.

You heard right, mate. Can't beat a 340 in a crash, you really can't. Well, I'll let you judge for yourself:
DAMAGE TO MY CAR (16 year old jalopy):
Tracking off slightly, small dents in the n/side door and wing (ie, not in urgent need of replacement)
DAMAGE TO OTHER DRIVER'S CAR (brand new Mk4 Estate):
Door needs replacing, wing needs replacing, bumper needs replacing, new side repeater required, hubcap scratched to hell.
Not rocket science really is it?

Of course a lot of it has to do with the angles and speeds, etc...but there's no denying that 300s are tough. Just not tough in comparison to a wall...
cheers
James
