There's not much at all in South central Nat B wise at the moment, and most of the SE stuff has had it's had pushed down since last year. Devon still has a good amount though, but most of it seems to be going to enduros rather than RR's.

Carl on here did a few amount of road rallies a few years ago, in his black GLT mainly I think. I ment to do some this year, but the car decided otherwise :(

There used to be quite a few decent events about down here (nothing compared to a welsh event though). I did quite a few in 03/04 and my last one was in 05. But in the last few years lack of interest and local PR problems have killed a lot of it.

I only did 2 Nat B events in the GLT, most of my time was spent in 205s, with one comeback event in 2005 in my MR2.

We also have lost quite a few famous roads and classic spectator points due to PR problems, thats one of the reasons that the Classic Tracks rally started and it also allows more people to attend and spectate due to the more sociable hours. Some nationalists would claim that its the "saes"(English) people who have bought houses on the routes but in reality its the people who practice on the roads on the run up to the event that are the cause and the fact that the rallys run untill 5 or 6 into the morning.

In wales we have the roads where you can practice almost very day provided the fuzz don't spoil it for you.
The problem now is teh increased trafic levels and modern day attitude to risk taking IMO

I realy should get one of my amazons done for road rally work. :D

Just a shame cash is tight

I think a fast amazon would be arrest-proof. "I can't have passed you at 140 officer, because the car is 46 years old".

tbh on the roads we rally, a) you'd be lucky to be able to pass a police car on some roads and b) 140?!! - no chance lol

though an amazon would be good cover :)

Round our way you have to be carfull not to overtake the police while driving normaly. On a reasonable straight a nicely tunned amazon could do that kind of speed, but 140 MPH is one heck of a speed to hit on a rally!

And if teh copper wanted to take it to court there is always a spare B18 about to drop in

ooh no far too fast,i rarely get into 4th as it'll pull 80mph+ in 3rd, unless its in a quiet zone......slowest speed/highest gear. the only car we've struggled to keep up with was[dare i say it]a RAV4 !!!!
