its 4wd so I imagine it bears absolutely no likeness to a standard 300 setup the info says bmw 3.0 diff

If a Dana 30 centre can fit then you can get Truetracs for $US500.

The theory is that it should be possible, but despite rumours no-one has done it yet (I think!) - I was waiting for someone to do it before I did :D

Well, I may have a 360 transaxle out of a car to soon play with, and I have a couple of dead Danas so I might see if it will physically fit.

Lets just say i have a spare 300 diff, and a doner diff awaiting to get maited together. If all goes to plan within the next couple of weeks its hould be sorted.

When you like going sideways, but when that is not desired it is bit erm less optimal solution and not to mention tire costs :shock:

Something to help to get off from snow and wet grass would be nice, though :)

try a DAF 55 variomatic. works great under such circumstances :)

Those are bit difficult to come by nowdays, especially good station wagon ones with small price tag :(

Some 150-200 euros solution would be optimal to most I believe?

Gripper diffs in Coventry are your friend ;)

Dana swap would be good if we can make it work. I just gave away my spare diff :(
