Thanks for all the info guys, hubby managed to get Ignition Relay Switch from local breakers (after a lot of to-ing & fro-ing) and she's now running ok.

Haha! Really?! Good god...I ought to stop being right before my car-fixing-suggestion-ego gets too big!!!

I'll let my garageman know we've had another encounter with this relay, it was there I heard about it first.
