Steve, It appeared to be low mileage, 87000, but there was the usual rust that the 300's suffer from. Pete
PS What's ur email address Steve?

Yeah I expected there to be the usual rust.. If I speak to my mate before hand I'll tell him to bid, but I doubt it will happen as it ends sooner than I thought!

How are you finding your new GLE Hugh?

Hi Hugh,
I've never been sure about MOT rules and regs for foglights, as mine are currently blanked out, as they're not working, just incase they were part of the MOT. I'll get them sorted one day, I believe that there's a bullet connection somewhere in the middle around the valance that comes loose. Anyway, I checked the other 360's and I think I'm going to need to keep the best set I'm afraid, but have a look at the pics below, as they'll be fine once cleaned up. The crack shouldn't let water in and when they're down low it shouldn't notice. It's up to you anyway. As for a wiring loom, I checked quickly and it looks like that's gone from the crashed 360. I can rob another spares vehicle for it should you really need it. If I ever get around to fixing mine or finding what's wrong I thought about rewiring, should be simple enough, they just need to be wired through the headlights, so they cannot be left on.

Got the door strip as shown below, but after speaking to my Dad, I'm not sure how you'll fix it on effectively. They seem to be a bit of a problem. I'm sure you'll think of something, as the after market adhesive strips aren't particularly good. Gripfill or the similar is an option, though more of a bodge.

On the 360 GLT they go through the dodgy auxiliary fuse box, located on he n/s behind the battery. I'm not sure about relays, however it does appear to use one, I'm assuming you have the Haynes manual, page 397, the relay is E14. Nice big foglamp symbol nearby it!

When I put mine in mate, I got a cheap fast fix ring kit from halfords, as the relay for the fogs is about £25 from volvo, and the island had no 360's scrapping. Just swap the crimps on the ends over. The ring kits come with all needed rated wire, and relay, and fuse holder, and they'll clip onto the orig switch. All for £11!!!

Cheers Chris, sounds like the route to take then Hugh. If I don't have any joy in fixing mine, I might get one of those kits too.

Me? lol, if you'd like the lights, that'd be fine and you can get the kit Chris suggested to fit them and wire them in. Pete
