How have you decided to buy that car? Is it your own choice? Or is it thanks to the advice from a (male) friend?

I bought it 6 years ago from a friend, i learned to drive in a 340 and my folks had a volvo estate when i was younger so it was an easy decision to snap it up. It cost me £600 and i have probably spent that amount again on it but it is money well spent in my book!

Absolutely, although you do need to grow a thick skin when you are a girl with a volvo. One garage actually said "why are you driving a lemon like this?" I haven't been back there!!

If I had to count each time people in the Volvo garages was laughing, I think I would kill someone working in a Volvo dealership... I have very often the feeling to get a very poor welcome, as I was a tramp with an old Volvo 300! I can imagine that it's a biggest problem with a girl...

Well, now i can talk their language to them it is a bit better, as soon as they realise they cant sell me a part exchange fiat or something they give in!

Next time, tell to them that you are member of the biggest Volvo 340 / 360 community, their behavior will change!
