They didn't keep it long - seems the new owner needs the cash based on the e-bay page. Depending on what the reserve is, someone could get a bargain.
No idea what Ali sold it for, but it had a £1500 asking price and quick sale. The new owner may loose a fair bit for a few weeks use...

Just thought of something. The person who posted here that they had the cash was called Steve, but the ebay user name is Linda. Also they have no feedback and this is the first sale... And there is no detail, e.g. mileage, tax left or MOT left etc + the pics are old ones (e.g. before the stickers were removed.
If anyone interested, might be worth contacting Ali to find out who the owner is to make sure this is a genuine sale, not a fraudsters using details gleaned from V3M...

Good spot MJ, there might well be a rat away somewhere. Even if it's not an impostor, it may be that it's someone previously banned by ebay using their partner's account to continue being crap.

The locations match. Doesn't seem fishy to me. Do remember we're in the middle of a financial crisis for a lot of people
That car is so full of win...
cheers

Hi all!, I would like to say Steve_mk2 is a tosser

, I emailed him on ebay while the auction was running offering him £1200 for the volvo, obviously he said no as he would think it would make more, (fair enough!), I then bidded for it and won it suprisingly for £1999, (I imagine he wasnt happy).
rung him up next day and he asked what day I would come down and said "if you dont want it I have someone else lined up", I said I do want it and we organised for friday around 6pm ish as he works, I had work on so I was tied up so texted saying I can do saturday around 11am ish if cool?.
No reply obviously, tried ringing him, texted him asking for his address so I could plan a route down to him, no reply, rung again, then again, then his phone switched off so blaitently I could see where this was going.
at this point I and my friend had to get up at 8am just incase he did answer, tried ringing around 9:30ish, no answer, tried again later, and phone switches off again.
I have given up but have now got myself a minter 3dr 1.7 to keep me going till my other volvo hits the road again.
just thought I should share my experience with this asshole

,
still, im interested now in who he sold it to?
cheers

if you have won it on ebay, it's your car! Than he can't sell the car to someone else, and you need to take the car!

Sorry to pull up an old thread, but something similar has just happened to me. I was bidding on a Saab 900 automatic for my mam, the seller modified the advert saying "the car is still for sale during the auction end and collection"

, i then won the auction for £260, and guess what.....yep within the auction ending and me contacting him (2 hours) the car was sold

Get a lot of that with dealers chris.
Win it, get down there and its suddenly GONE. Sorry mate. hundred mile round trip for nowt.
Then it pops up relisted in a couple of days. same seller.
Dirty ebayers,and dirty dealers.
Is there anything worse.
And surely this should be up on your site man.

I would hate to turn up to buy a car and realize it was stolen, not a nice situation, What did you? and how did you know it was stolen?
