yeah it looks sick, dunnit?

too many issues - creaky door, seals falling off, holes in bodywork, knackered suspension, etc etc etc

im trying to build a 2ltr mini, and this is getting in the way. therefore Im gonna dish out the parts, and give up.

i bought a zetec escort in the mean time, as a reliable runabout. much younger, much less rust. conversely, its done twice the mileage :$ it'll go for longer tho, i think

oh the usual places - 3" diameter hole in battery tray, passenger side floorpan, all jacking points, valences, arches etc etc etc

its not beyond repair, i just dont have the time or money to do it, what with the mini and all.

on a plus note, the escort is running fine, so looks like its all go for the breaking. the faster pedal was a bit slack, so i tied a knot in the cable and refitted it. perfect.

just the clutch pedal to be fixed now. im gonna arrange for a guy to come out and fix it midweek, so when thats done i can give the nod to you lot.

re header tank - cant do posting cos im skint and always hard at work during post office hours.

if you let me know you're coming, ill give you my address and leave the bonnet popped. you can take the header tank out. ill have to let my nan know tho cos she'll think you're trying to steal it. just dont take any other stuff without letting me know, i need to keep a lot of bits.

if you do go robbin stuff, smile cos you're on 3 different cameras all at once

If I can't find some suitable springs this weekend I might take the front springs if they're available.

Cheers!

Am in need of an engine mate, how far is essex from plymouth ?

This far

Yeah, the interior lights are the same.

I'm sure there are some bits I want...but I can't think what right now.

Tell your buddy to get hold of some nutserts (and a tool) for the engine mount bolt holes in the chassis rails. He's going to need them.

cheers

James

sorry, been ill and then totally forgot to check messages..

front springs are available, but the've had two coils cut off

engine is available, but to be fair this might be a lot easier to collect after christmas, when the big bits have been taken out. then, it'll be sitting on the floor ready for collecting, rather than in the car.

bumpers are indeed available. they are matt black, without the metalic bits (sorry, i ripped them off as i thought they looked cheap. i hate shiny silvery/chrome stuff on cars, there really is no need)
