Sure:
Pics of the 1985 model year radios - designed to fit that MkII dash perfectly ;-)

Don't knock 'em, that last one cost about 1000 Euros in it's day.

Or, d'you fancy upgrade? Maybe something more modern? Here's cutting-edge technology from 1990:

Great stuff.

Wow!
Number 12 looks like its from the future!

An amazing future where buttons will be of different colours and car steroes are bigger than spare wheel wells.

They all look cool though.

Definatly going to stick with something of the period. Or close anyway.

Non of this new fangled dancing lights and writing all over the front malarky.

It would only conspire against me.

Give me something with knobs any day..........................

Actually, I'd like to retract that last statement.

Removal tool?

If Ben doesn't need that (there's nothing to remove, anyway ;-)) maybe I could join the queue? Or borrow it, and send it on?

Cheers

Cheers! Bilbo, PM'd ...

Don't forget to look out for an amp, too (Nr 4 in the top pic). Brings the power up to an eardrum-splitting 4x20 W :-o ;-)

Tom. I dont want to go overboard.
I dont think human ears could stand that kind of power.
Seriously.

You're right. The human brain would already be overburdened with all those buttons too ;-)

Ben,

My answer was a non-slip mat on the dash and a set of battery powered ipod speakers. Not earth shatteringly loud but enough to listen to music as you drive.

Good plan.
Already had a go with unpowered ipod speakers and the sound was tinny and horrible.
Amazed at how quiet the engine runs mind Pete, i was expecting a battle of sound between my ipod on shoddy speakers and the 1.4. No danger tho. ipod with shoddy speakers wins by a mile. Unfortunatly the sound wasnt anywhere as sweet as the engine note!

I'll give it a go with some powered ones.
