I just had a look, I'm pretty sure your "RAI Edition" was the 340 DL Club here. Check out these (poor) pics:
It came with the same green metallic paint and stripes, pop out windows with matt black surrounds, 6 dial dash, heated drivers' seat and other stuff ...

Ah, we have a winner... oh no, a club. (Or better, 2 clubs

)
We collected 'Lijntje' (line) saturday and were very curious what the big problem would be. During the inspection we noticed the torque tube wasn't connected to the clutch. It wouldn't run this way. (Doh)
After replacing the tube (the teeth of the clutch side were slightly gone) I've adjusted the clutch (adjusted from 3.2mm fillers to 1.6), which resulted in the perfect gap. (.2 mm)
After checking we refited everything, we took her for a testdrive. She was perfectly maintained, no problems at all.
After this our host had to run to get some groceries, so he borrowed the car. Yesterday we collected it and drove it home. When we arrived it was late, but I couldn't resist the urge to take some pictures.
As this was almost in the middle of the street they 340's were relocated, so they could 'chat' the night away.

Is there a list of the amount sold per version/special? For the RAI special there are 2 sets, 1 source gives a number of 750 sold (340/360,s all RAI special) and 1 source gives a total of 1000 sold.
I'm pretty curious about the amount they actually made and sold under all names in all markets.

I'll have another look when I get home. There was also a list of the extras it came with, I'll take a pic of that if you like ...

Thanks, that would be nice. The extra's the RAI came with are
- External thermometer
- Econometer
- 'map pockets' in the doors
- slightly more luxurious fabric (green tweed)
- heated driverseat
- the striping
- the color (302-5)
- fillercap with lock
- tinted windows
At least, that's the list I found at V3C.
I'm hoping the interiour can be found in more cars, as we're looking for a left doorpanel, those 'cups' in the door. (the grip) and a headrestcover in the correct color scheme.

Are they both green?

Yes, I need to replace this interior panel, including the bit in the armrest that's used to pull it close. (cup was the best I could think of to describe it)
For the headrest we're loking for the fabric with a foam cushon inside, that's mountable over the headrest itself. (which BTW also needs replacement, as it's broken) It's best seen in the right RAI, on the passenger chair. (left)
Erik, the seller of the left car in the picture had 1 left in his collection, 1 extra would be nice, as the left will be a town car and the right is planned to be used as a long distance club car. (but when I can find 3, zo all headrests have them, that would be perfect)

All that plus DL spec plus
- Popup rear windows
- GL door trim
- ambient temp gauge
- 5 gears
- matt black rubbing strips
- matt black window surrounds
Some of that may have been standard on a DL in Holland though.
No info as to the production numbers I'm afraid ...

Those are extra's as well overhere, I just discovered. Almost all 340 I know have the popup rear windows, so I expected them to be standard. The window trim is black indeed. I also was suprised to see the logo's on the hatch of 'Streepje' to be black and on 'Lijntje' to be chrome.
I'm guessing this is due to wear of the chrome plating on the logos, but I'm not sure.

I had a look in my parts stash, but could only find dark blue, grey and black. I know someone who has them in brown and light blue but no green I'm afraid ... I'll keep my eyes and ears open, otherwise you might like to start a new thread in the "demand" section, the door pull "cups" should be easy enough to post from the UK ...

I have green. I pulled them a few years ago as I'd only ever seen grey in scrappies, and thought they might come in useful at some point!Only the handle trays though, no door cards.

That would be very helpful, when you want to part with them. In a junker I know there's still a door card left. It's bent, but salvagable. (or a nice study object)
