Nice work, I scraped a dualis (JDM qashqai) along a wall inside the plant and never owned up. Did you get sacked for the x-trail crash? We build to order too, but we average 11days for special orders delivered, as opposed to my mate's dad waiting an extra month to have cupholders on his 135d.

RE dealers being open on New Year's Day.
Yes, it was/is a bank holiday, but it's surprising the number of new cars registered for 1st Jan. A bit like when new registrations only came in on 1st August every year, there was a bit of a customer psychological desire to pick their brand new car up on the first day of the year.
All the paperwork would have been done prior to the day, but dated forward, so to speak.
