Aye the sierra I had for a bit was a 1.8 and went better than a 1.4 340, but not much. It was also burning unbelievable amounts of oil, like 2 litres between Sheffield and Sunderland.

As for your speedo, I'm 90% sure it'll just have popped out at the hub end. There's a square end on the cable, which goes through a matching hole in the bearing grease cap, held in by a small clip. The cable is a push-fit into the centre of the passenger side hub, so check it's all the way in first. If it's all fitted properly then you might have a snapped cable, I've had one before but it's not very common. It's easy to remove and check so don't stress it, I can even sell you a cable if yours is twunted.

Im gonna say this.

change the 4 points rear mounts arround! they shouldnt be crossed like that!

apart from that it looks good.

I like that, looks quite good in Army green, but i do like any matt colour. If my paint on mine was shite i'd do it in brown with "this way up" to make it llok like a cardboard box

I guess the wheels are your drift wheels, but a little tip for spraying them is put a coating of neat washing up liquid on the tyre, then any over spray just wipes off easy as.

Good tip, sounds easier than masking :) She said that she's going to be replacing the tyres soon anyway though, so it doesn't really matter.

You mean the 4 point harness?

Aye don't cross them. or just get another 3 pt. then you can't go wrong

At least you haven't got them looped around a rear strut brace that bolts to the strut tops - seen that too many times for my liking lol.

Natural selection FTW :D

Yep, if the harnesses don't come with a cross buckle already fitted (which some 4 points do) then don't cross them.. I also echo the rear strut brace bit, harness bars are the optimum solution but a strut brace is not a harness bar. Though if you find a rear "strut brace" fitted to a 300 then I would avoid getting in the car if the person who fitted it is driving

You forgot to mention harnesses in a car without a cage there Jason

Still eating snails??????

Crossing harness belts makes them angry. An angry belt is a dangerous belt IMHO.

tbh I didn't even look at the pics of the car, but yes, harnesses and buckets without a cage are a very bad idea imho.

@sven, more like abusing snails with a grinder at the minute :( - turns out those french dinky toys are a bit fragile! - bottomed out the rear suspension in a brisk encounter with a road-width pothole on a local club's 12car... this somehow fractured the boot seam!!

So why are harnesses and buckets without a cage, a bad thing?

Cheers Dan
