Dude a 91 M47 doesnt mean it has a 3.64...... They are all directly related to the engines to give roughly the same performance.

Call me a Doubting Thomas but 125mph in a 340 1.4 with a 4 speed box? Never. Not even on a very long straight road with a favourable wind and no traffic. More to the point, why would you even want to try....

Look, if we ban exageration, boasting and white lies from posts, frankly this whole forum might colapse in on itslef like a soufle in the wind.
Now im off to catch a fish THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS big!
with Bob Holness and Stephen Speilberg.

In my 450mph 1.4.

If the spedo is more than th normal 10% out then I can well belive 125 reading. I'm sure Kaos had smaller wheels fitted so that would explain the extra few MPG.

Agreed dan.
13s, kill the arch gap and its all good.

Unfortunatly mine leave quite a gape.

but I certainly wouldnt rule out buying a good set on 13s in the future.
More slippery, but more fun.

Ive heard.

I've never seen a standard 340 with anything other than 13" wheels. I've owned eight 340's and they've all had 13" wheels with tyres either being 155x13 or 175/70x13 dependent on spec. My current 1991 340 GL Auto has 175/70x13's.
