Sounds like quite an adventure.
And I recon a few might have given up with that kind of expenditure.

It has been quite a long running story now lol, it hasn't run right since we first got it. I'm glad in the end it was just a simple problem, but a bit irritated as the whole electric pump job (which cost the original owners quite a lot) was pointless.
Can't wait to be able to actually drive it rather than nurse it from place to place!

Hopefully many miles of unhindered motoring to come now mate.
mines done about 1500 miles with my family since I got it a year ago, and its been no trouble at all.
Theyre not normall known as part monsters.

Yeah fingers crossed it'll be ok, they seem to be known for their reliability. Bit of a shame the parts supply seems to be drying up though.
I'm planning on taking it right down into cornwall again this year so going to give it some TLC before we go away. It's got the MOT on monday though so that'll be the first hurdle!
I fitted the new wing mirror today (thanks Dez), looks a lot better with it - only downside is I can no longer blame parking mistakes on missing a mirror
