What about gear kits though? As we know you can get them everywhere. That's if you wanted one.

Good point like, parts availability is better for ford stuff. You could fit a 6-speeder from a supra with the same amount of work though.

That can take stupid brake. I just want the noise of a straight cut, I love doing events with my mate in his mk2 escort, and just hearling it go down the box sends shivers down my spine. I know when we're flat out when you hear the engine only then you hear one more whine! 4th 1:1 then 5th!

Though I reckon it could be possible to fit a 240 axle to the leaf springs.

Yeah it's been done. Not the best setup but if you don't race at track, it's not like the car isn't driveable.
