360 and 240 are roughly same price here, only thing is that there is a _LOT_ more offering from 240.

There is difference in insurance, I think it was around 10 euros in a year, can't remember which one was cheaper

I guess that 360 is bit cheaper in UK than in here.

When you get 240, make sure you will get late model, less rust because of better rust proofing and lot less interior noise at highway speeds because of redesigned seals at doors. Just don't except it to be nimble pocket rocket, it is a ship and steering is nothing like in 300, it is like in a ship, also pedals are from tracktor when comparing to 300. It is comfy at times, specially when all rubber in suspension is ok and tires are proper size (minimum size is absolute joke, needs more load index).

Parking one is bit of shock after 300, damn thing don't turn as well and is quite bit longer and bit wider, so spots that were perfect before are tight match with 240.

Great car for road trips, rear leg room is tad small, but space at front is plenty and there is ton of luggage space, also I'm pretty sure that it would be possible to sleep in boot even in sedan version

There seem to be a lot of estates around though.
Ideally, we all need a 200 for long distance road cruising, and a 300 for city parking.

Or possibly two of each.

Here sedans are standard, estate are bit more rare, two door sedans are more rare than rust free original 360GLT that has not been beaten to death, then waked from death and raced to death until put up to sale as grandmom's car that has been driven only to church at Sundays, which btw is not likely to happen at least not in here

There are currently two 360GLT's on sale, one is uglier than average finn at vappu morning and another one is modified by someone, either one is not suitable and certainly not even close to original.

There are more two door 240's, but 4900 euros is perhaps bit high or then you get only a shell of car for 300, there is one reasonable for 600 euros, but certainly needs lot of work for that price.
Good 240 sedan is around 1500 euros, estates are perhaps bit more, just a tiny bit, diesels are again bit more expensive.

I have been looking good clean 360GLT now more than 6 months, but there has not been one, teenagers have destroyed most of good ones and time (together with road salt) has taken bad ones. My 360 even it is not perfect seem to be a lot better than most on sale, it comes hard to find any better ones.

So it might be that I have to turn my eyes to 240GLT, SE or Turbo then, altough good ones are still hard to come by, people tend to get good ones and just drive them as long until they broke, concept of good car care seem to be forgotten completely, I'm pretty sure our dictionary misses section "preventive mainentance".

Must say that late 940's are getting very cheap now - £500 for a 2.3 B230FK/T with M90 gearbox. Almost temping me with a cheap rust free project Only problem is the lack of wheels in the right offset as spacers are expensive!

Yeah, i found that out when i got a quote for a a 2.3 740 on sale at the VOC for 200 quid.
Insurance quote £1500.

Im having Johns 360GLT instead.
Still gonna be £600 like.
My first insurance without being 2nd driver on someone elses policy.

that made me crack up we have that issue with bmw e21 and e30 over here.

i would really love a 240 turbo @ 200-250 bhp.
