I'm a "resting" tub thumper. Used to have a Premier kit years ago, but life goes on, as does time.
I was at a do a few years ago and the band booked took a bit of a break. So meself (with their drummer's permission) wandered to his digital kit and before we knew where we were, we were having a good jam!
It was as if I'd not stopped! Also play the steering wheel bongos a lot and the desk.
These "drum pads" are so much easier for transporting/lugging around - proper drum-sized pads and bass with "plastic" cymbals and the whole lot just plugs into amp and away we go.
Yeah - Volvo 300 Band - nice idea. Might need to work on a name! As I'm a DAF chap, something like "The Old Belters"!!!
