I'm glad it's gone to a good Home.

Ben - can you give us an amusing comparison between the 360 GLT and a 340 in your trademark comedy style?

yes tom.
Yes I can.

Driving a 340 is like having sex with a drunk fat lady in a mcdonalds disabled toilet.
It feels a bit dangerous and exiting but a bit uncomfortable and you end up a bit disapointed by the pace of events more often than not.

Driving a 360 (glt) is like having sex with a high class hooker in one of the finest penthouses in all of manhattan. You're completly at ease, comfortable, there's all manner of electric toys to play with and you can dictate the pace, ANY pace, with consumate ease. Never disapoints.

I'm sorry for the metaphor of sexual congress, but you go with what you know eh gents.

I'd just like to nominate the above post for the 2009 BEST POST EVER award......

I'm also slightly surprised (not to say curious... ) about Bens past sexual escapades :)

Ahhh, that I can blame on someone else, was there when I got it, and likely before Pete got it!

Still missing her, I've got a 90min commute to work by the looks of it, and Fake is having a huge hissy fit again!

Ok, Jet is officially DEAD.
(in name only. The car is still fine)

Buts its getting re-branded.
And A new thread of its own.

Gonna run it as a daily (so not doing a whole lot of restoration) with a view to getting a second car once we have enough dosh to move.
Then im putting a 2.3 in it and it can be my funtime car.
Anyway,

me and becky (well it is my birthday, so she was roped in to help) spent from 0800 this morning til 1500 cleaning her.
Interior came out, hoovered to death (filled a dyson and a half!).
Flashed every surface in the interior, boot area.
Which didnt work.
The dirt and grime was far too ingrained in the dash etc.
So got busy with a toothbrush and then some Turtlewax dash restorer.
I really should have taken some photos before to go with the afters, but I didnt.
So all Ive got is what Chris took.
Then did all the glass. (my arms ache!)
then ran it down the jet-wash (appropriate!) and blasted all the spiders off it.

Cleaned pics: which mean nothing, as nobody saw it dirty!

Tommorow-
get some wheels on and start a new thread.

R.I.P Jet.
Say hello to 'Giles.'

Image
ripped Chris's pic- sorry mate.

Badge on the back says Chalfont Volvo

Chalfont St. Giles = Piles. Mockney ryhming slang.
Got 'piles' o powaz, so im calling the bitch Giles.

Cheers dude.
The interior is quite neat now.

Want to do a bit more, but i think the shabby (looking) exterior serves it well as a cheeky sleeper.
id far rather it look tatty from a distance and go like stink than the opposite way round.

And gladly it does. :D

topped up the oil with GTX today too.
thatll surely add 47 horse power.
