Now it's working after doing nothing...uhm.
Must've been some crap somewhere that moved on and now symptoms are over.
I also did a road test with the car. Goes like it should with V-power and lead additive.
No pinking or any sort of hint that it would be running lean.
My friend wants to get rid of the renix unit. (he just does)
Can you tell some car that has a normal pointless ignition that would fit?

afaik there isn't a specific aftermarket pointless setup develloped for use with a b14..

Distributor looks the same as in my B130. So it's not a fit? I was wondering if the same 123-ignition would fit it B14.

engine block base is the same as the 1300, the 1300 has different bushes/pistons etc.
on the 1300 the distributor also gets driven trough the camshaft so the piece itself should fit directly..
i mean there isn't a prepped b14 ignition curve.. volvo is the only one running the renault engine in this perticular setup

OK, then it's no problems...123 also makes USB-controlled units at special order. You can make the curve whatever you want.

that's interesting, i only thought they made pre-set curves with only the option of advancing or retarding the entire curve with same level bij turning the unit on it's mounting.
i'll have to keep that in mind if i'm gonna rebuild the alpine turbo engine with custom fuel injection system, will save a load of work and optimize performance to the max..

The basic 123 has alpine turbo curve on it.

curve needs adjusting because i'm placing different cam, pistons etc..
(gonna run it with a t3 turbo too, want to get at least 300bhp out of it.)

ok...this is the only quote I have over the USB 123.
http://www.123ignition.nl/forum/read.ph ... reply_1539
But I've asked for confirmation and they replied that they basically can do any of already in production distributors with USB interface. How to adjust it I don't know. I think they will include some program with the product.
Price is double the normal. This is why I settled for normal 123.

hi
this is VERY interesting! Especially if one can get the original maps for each B14 variant and each renix unit...
