This shows the problem which I'm talking about quite well:

Nobody really stopped to think there.

Had a throttle stick on my 3.5 Ton Renault-Dodge van once going up the M1 one night

Me: "Throttle's stuck"
Mate:  "Oh Christ"
Me: "It's okay, we'll just wait until we run out of fuel"

Again, accelerator pedal was caught under the rubber matting - managed to hook the pedal out with my foot. A few well aimed slices with a stanley knife and I never had the problem again.

I won't cheat and look it up on the web :D , I don't know but I'll have a complete guess, is it by the handbrake ?

I once had trouble in our renault scenic, the pedals are too small, slippy, close together and high off the floor. I got the edge of my shoe jammed under the brake pedal whilst pressing the throttle. Soon sorted but I'm amazed that after 100+ years of making cars some manufactures still can't get basic things right when they design a new car. They rarely seem to make the most of the chance to improve on the previous models and end up redesigning the car from scratch with a whole set of new faults. Even so there are a lot of wonderfully engineered modern cars out there I know.

An example: Today I saw a newish BMW 3 series estate parked on a motorway link-road with hazzards flashing. Bonnet up and driver scratching head. Then I saw what was wrong, big dent in bonnet which was up far too high....someone forgot to fasten it down properly :o and wind had smashed it into the windscreen. What happened to the safety catch? Surely he couldn't have missed it not even being on that? At least we don't have to worry about that problem in a 300

Good guess ;)

I've had a bonnet come up on a 300, it's the only time I've ever had to stop on the hard shoulder. It's horrifically scary tbh, I dread to think what it must be like on rear hinged bonnets. The 300 one "fly's" about 3" above where it's supposed to sit due to the airstream.

Yeah, in 900 between the seats, I think that in Lada it was opposite side of steering column than other cars, there are some weird cars

My shoes are so big that even with 300 there are some difficulties as throttle is very close to 'transmission' tunnel and brake is quite close to throttle, I can't push throttle normally, have to keep shoe tilted a bit.
