i remember seeing the actual car at volvo training centre in daventry

I have seen the actual car used in the advert, it was at a dealership in London, they were having an open day. I have a photograph of the 340, and also one of the 850 that the van used to 'T-bone', to advertise the 'SIPS' system will try and post them on this site if anyone is interested.

Sounds good, it'd be good if you could share them with us. Is that the 850 advert where the bloke catches the cassette that is propelled out of a door pocket or something when the car is hit?

Yes I remember it well & had a copy of said add, until I accidently wiped it the other year !! I remember the 'slogan' at the end ;

" Volvo 340, tested by dummies, driven by the intelligent " I think that's the right way round anyway !

I really think we 'ought to remake it, with Huw as the stunt driver - he must qualify as the most experienced lol !!

Ah, making connections now KevGLT! That was the picture from the Friends of The Volvo 300 mag, and I didn't want to add it to the site, as I couldn't remember whose picture it actually was and I couldn't find the actual issue of the magazine at the moment. Very interesting indeed.
