Yeah dude, KDF is awesome. Their videos are shot really well.
Minor update. spaced out the bonnet at the rear. The main aim of this was not so much cooling, but to aid in flow and circulation of air through the engine bay, in prep for the 2.0ltr. I'm not going for the flipped manifold, as the future dictates ITBs.
Used some square tubing around an inch thick, and longer bolts. They sit like this:
and the bonnet now sits like this:
I dont know how much it wil help the flow, but it should do something to get rid of dirty hot engine bay air, and get cleaner air to the filter.
Also fitted some new wipers, as the other ones were falling off.

I disaprove. Makes you look like a tryhard scenester.
On a positive note: Ingenious solution.

Worst comes to the worst I can just take them off though. Theres reason to my madness though! That, and I think it looks wicked
cheers evoman, glad someone is a fan! XD

Youd be better off running a feed from an inlet on the valence/grille to a cold air induction set up really. But that wouldn't be as obvious.
Hang on. I think I just attempted to give technical advice.
I think I need to sit down. And to eat a cheeseburger.
I'm out of my depth.

It doesn't at all really, gas flow is actually designed into the bay and over the top of the bonnet, all jacking the back up does is to create a stall point meaning that it'll cool worse and starve the inlet.
VND is right today, induction nearer the front is much betterer.
On the plus side, it looks pimp

Ha ha! Your correct on that one, not outa your depth!

A bit of large diameter flexi-tubing was going to make its way in there as well.
Chris, the stall point would be because of the bulkhead, and stuff on it? So as the air travels up the bay, it'll get caught by the bulkhead etc and just circulate. However, this is the same case for the bonnet fully closed too? All the air will be circulated and then directed out below the bulkhead, underneath the car. It crossed my mind about the circulation, but surely a small gap will let some air through. That and hot air rises. But I'll leave the bonnet for a bit, even if it doesnt do anything!

Yes, it looks pimp, though very "fan boy".
I'll draw a paint diagram to explain my theory later

Not quite, (I'm going into what I seem to remember was the outcome last time this was discussed in any depth... I'm not an aero guy) there is a vortex at the base of the windscreen, which normally somehow clears itself over the top of the windscreen and car. Same happens through the grill, and all air is channelled planar fashion out underneath the car.
When the rear of the bonnet is lifted, their is no longer an air dam pushing the cooling air under the car, so it all spins round and round in a combination of the base windscreen vortex and the bulkhead cocking the game up, meaning hot air stays in the bay a significant amount longer.
Now you watch someone who can be bothered to use the search or knows aero come and shoot that argument down in flames
