We could do with simple thermometer during winter, it would have labels for cloudy, mild and -30C weather, it is again -30C outside, annoying.
Two-Three days we had heat wave during the week as temperatures did rise to -1C, however it was quickly over with 25cm of snow and -10C temperatures.
Maybe I should take photo to show amount of snow here, I think there is more than last year, lot more than cat's height, not even tail is shown when they run on their pathways which I have made, they can easily hide in those while spying me, they always spy on me

Wind speed in gusts 70, ton of snow in air that hurts your face, fills nose and mouth at instant, can't see anything, pic was taken under two meters from car, you can barely see roof railings at bottom of pic:
I have taken many shots from heavy snowing with flash, but them always tend to be less than actual situation, so is this, I could not see the car, but you can get the idea of conditions here, situation is not very good right now, if this would hit major cities there would be some general alert, but as it hit this rural area there was no even mentioning of upcoming conditions before event started.

Quite cold here at the southern parts of Finland also. Temp meter at the car indicated -19C (~ -4F) this morning.
This years official cold temperature record in Finland was broken at Kuhmo. -40.1C (-40F) was recorded this morning.

I have to see what kind of temps there was at home during this week, there was -35.5C already before I wen't to work, but there has been probably even colder during the week.
Hopefully 1kW of heating has been enough to keep plumbing from freezing

-39,5C was the highest numbers at cars temp meter today. WV Caddy tdi(work car) was quite cold car to drive like any newer diesel car without extra heater(webasto etc). Putting post to postbox was "interesting" job.

Hmm, I just spend a week in Hämeenlinna, quite freezing week that is.
+2.3C in house, 1kW heater power was not quite enough, had almost frozen water piping, now here is +5C, pretty cold in bed.
Surprisingly there had not been very cold temps, not even -37C.

Some data:
Spring sun is quite strong already, proper vacuum solar heaters are already making usable amount of warm water, which is quite incredible when you look up that graph above.
Probably will get such setup sometime in a future as warm water does cost me almost 8 euros per month, with 2000 euro kit I will save money back in 30 years or so
But it would be part of bigger plan, where goal is to get independent from the grid.
