Hi Theo.
I run a mk3 eccon gauge in my 1983 GLS and could do with a mk2 one .
How much do you do you need for the mk2.
It is easly seperated from the clocks with a screw driver.
Cheers Mark. sm4

My mk2 had a shift light. It enocouraged very low rev shifts.
Therefore was ignored.

This was standard on some special editions. If you had a basic version special edition (like the RAI-special, not sure if UK got those too...) you'd probably get the 2 aux. dials and the big clock.

Ooh, I dunno. Eco gauges are fun - the needle moves about more than any other thing on the dash :-)

nice collection! tempted by a rev-counter dash, as mine has the big clock. Don't know if it'll work with the renault engine though. It'd be nice to not have a seperate tachometer poking out.

Yeah it'll work with the renault engine, I couldn't work it out until recently but it just recieves a frequency from the coil, same as in the 1.7.

On an early car, I think you may need to run a wire to the coil. On a car with VDO gauges, it's pre-wired.

mine came with the extra gauges but no rev counter, ive put one in but its not wired up for it :(
ive looked at the wiring diagram and found that its the grey wire coming off the renix for the rev counter, so i cut open the wire insulation. and found that the grey wire just comes to an end? any one know where i can connect this too and will it make may rev counter work??
Also anyone know what all these other wires are for and why there not connected up?

I'm at work atm, but that grey wire just needs to go to one of the 2 long connectors that plugs into the dial set. Green books shows you pin number... I reckon off hand it's pin4 but ffs check before you wire anything up ;)
