I desperatly want to learn how to weld. My uni wont teach it though, as theyre "not insured". Are they bollox! its an engineering course!

yeah my dads got a welder in the garage that only gets used by my bro now and then, and my dads a mechanic but the only thing he cant do is weld as he gets really bad migraines from it.
so thought i would get my dads mate to teach me a little bit.
also are you doing motor sport engineering at swansea uni?

Yeah, ive got a mate who can hopefully teach me. Im doing motorsport eng at UWE Bristol. great course, shame about the welding! I'm glad I've got a car to tinker with when I'm not working, otherwise I'd be bored out of my mind.

Out of interest is your motorsport engineering Beng/Meng or bsc? Ive got some mates at UWE. I also do engineering but product design engineering.

no sorry man i dont i used it in mine, and are cars dont have the correct wiring for a rev counter as i found out so mine doesnt even work.
ive got to find some way of getting a pulse from the renix to my rev counter, can anyone help

so i fitted a rev counter to my car but i dont think it has the correct wiring for it as it wont work, anyone know how i can get this sorted?

sounds a really good course. I ummmmed and ahhhhed about product versus mechanical versus motorsport but hopefully product will alow be to go into all feild, ive been given intervewis at cummins deisel engines (although i didnt get the jobs) but it looks like it opens the same doors as mechanical and hopefully more. What year you in?

Its alright. Maths sucks, but everything else is ok though. Designing a double wishbone setup for my volvo at the mo. Could pick any car, so i naturally picked mine! I was contemplating mechanical, but I took the plunge, as washing machines weren't my thing, cars were!

Nearly went to swansea too. Brizzle just appealed more to me. great mountain biking scene, awesome fun.

On the car side of things, I would also like to know the answer to the above question, as i was going to swap my clock dial dash for a rev counter one.

The biking here is good man you missed out, some proper riding 10 mins and 25mins ride from campus. Ye car are more my thing but i wanted to say broad and do have an interest in products, plus i was concerned that having a job with cars may destroy my hobbie, this way i can choose. Is the plan.

Im in my 2nd year of Meng, I have a placement year next year if i find one. I didnt do a foundation year. Scarly this year the intake grades for my course are 3 As appprently the highest in the uni. Glad i got in when I did lol
