Anything expands with heat, even slightly. Rubber especially becomes very elasticated under heat.

Sounds similar to what sometimes happens with mine the part throttle hunting I haven't had in a while though, just sometimes after sitting in traffic if you pull away and have to stop again shortly afterwards sometimes it can conk out, quite rare it happens mind. If you get anywhere with yours let me know, and vice versa!
