I should think that the sight of 20 or so 300's turning up anywhere will make people pack up and leave and if Will brings his hammer or angle grinder , we are gauranteed to have the place to ourselves

We need to tie up a location I think.. a pub with a reasonable sized car park at first, somewhere out of town? I've heard that its easy for people to get lost in MKs grid system!

Then we can start a "Who the heck is coming" post! :)

The karting there is really good fun, but at that sort of money I don't think I'll be driving, more like spectating! I've not paid for go karting in ages, it's always been paid for by previous bosses! Anyway, sounds like a plan is forming, a nice big car park, where this time we can all park together in one block, maybe with one space between each car, this would then allow some better photo opportunities for different angles etc? Will and myself spoke about a meeting point on Sunday, and he suggested possibly meeting outside MK, so that it is easier for anyone who doesn't know the area, then a convoy in, that should be a good laugh, a long row of Volvo's making their way through MK!

Sounds like a plan there Pete.. I think the Karting will be out for me too - ouch not cheap! Any locals know of a large car park/easy meeting point in or near MK to be more specific?

ok , Willen lake is easy to find, its three roundabouts from junction 14 of the M1 . just follow H6 Childs Way (the A4146 )at third roundabout turn right onto brickhill st (V10 ) then at next roundabout turn right and you are there , easy to find and a pub on site , we can sort out further movements from there (convoy etc ) now all we need is a time , is 11 am to early for everyone ? (god do I have to do everything around here LOL )one thing to add AYMAT where are you ?

Hehe...sounds like you're calling the Mrs a piss'ead...can we quote you :)

Hmm...it's not looking good for karting :( I'd have done it at £30, but 45 is a bit steep for the student budget, especially when we have our own go-karts....cough...cough...barges outside!

cheers

I did suggest while talking with Pete at the W/E that we "locals" station ourselves at various strategic points around the city to pick up people from differing areas and then convoy in to a central meeting point. eg I could meet people coming in from the N at the end of the A5 at Stony - Maybe Mick could do J14 (Coachway?) and Pete could perhaps meet people coming up from the SW.

I t would be a bit sad if people coming to the meet spent hours driving round the hundreds of exactly alike roundabouts and never found the rest of the pack......

As I said I`ll try and scout out a few possible meeting points on Sunday in order to get an idea of how busy they get. If people want a pub and a meal , I reckon Caldecotte has the edge over Willen.

Any other ideas for decent pubs Mick?

why you asking me about pubs Will sm4 sm4 sm4 sm4 sm59 sm59 sm59 sm59 sm81 sm81 sm81 sm81 sm73 sm73 I only stayed with Willen coz its eaier to find from the M1 and not hard to get to from A5, I dont think we need lookouts thanks to autoroute and mobiles (also that would mean you Pete and myself missing out on the inaugural handshaking and introduction session LOL

how about we meet at Willen at 11 then at 11.30/12.00 we convoy down to Caldecotte its straight down Brickhill st ( V10 ) right onto Bletcham Way ( H10 ) then double back round Caldecotte roundabout shouldnt lose to many in that short distance
