out of interest, did you weld the plates to the chassis and then the rails to the plates? (how it looks in the pics) - as it's much easier to weld the rails to the plates and then the plates to the chassis... for anyone elses future reference, though i doubt anyone will do this much work on a 300 themselves for a long while yet....

Looking good though!

OMG! I'm glad to see someone who's keeping the volvo devolopment going in the drifting field instead of binning them. Love it well done. By the way I have moved house with no internet so I rarely get chance to come on here.

Update:)

I would recommend to weld some plates between roll cage and a- and b-posts to strengthen the structure. Like HERE or HERE or HERE.

Keep up the good work. :)

With limited budget and time that was one of the things we left out...:)

Nice!

Are those rear coilovers going to replace the rear leafs? If so what kind of suspension setup you are going to put? 4-link? Or is that an extra spring like yellow Konis for 300-series had.

Yellow konis actually existed for the 300 then Fuse? I've never seen any and was trying to find this out a while back.

the dutch 360 racing scene used them allmost standard, specific 300 yellow koni shocks aren't available anymore.

Thancks, the plan is to have them as a additional spring this season, but I want to maybe explore 4 link setup later on, maybe next season?

Back to the progress, still needs one more layer of paint:

I am in the progress of modifying dai top mount to fit the new damper, but hope i cat get the suspension on soon

You`l get movies this some i promise..The new season starts with a license day in april

Apart from just some small jobs done on the old volvo, I bought a new engine yesterday!
The new engine is a freshly rebuild rally engine.. b23 2,5l, heavily modified head, special cam, light flywheel etc
Will get some pics of the metal lump, just needs to find the camera first...
