@ Mac: I have pencilled the date in my agenda a long time ago and am allready looking for an affordable crossing as Calais Dover looks to be expensive this year (gee why would that be?? because of VOC's 50th???).
Offcourse I'll be bringing as much as I can of the parts that I do.I will need to speak to you a bit later to sort out plans etc.

Just had a quick look at the ferry myself. Around €260 return Dub-Holyhead, or €64 to Prestwick and drive down from Scotland. Hmmm.

Have you had a look at
http://www.dfdsseaways.de/ (ex- Norfolkline?). They tend to be cheaper than Calais - Dover, and you can save a few km on the journey as they sail from Dunkirk.
Pity I can't come, we're subject to the diktat of German school holidays these days

Things are beginning to look real good!
Firstly - Attack - date is Sat16th and Sun17th June (site open for us from Friday the15th - Mon18th.)
and I like your idea of an engine on display - (if it can be managed).
As for cars Chris c with Fake, and Matt (broady81) has offered his roadrally 300, they should cover the rally side.
Foggy if yours could demonstrate "factory" tuning that would be excellent.
We will need 2 or 3 drift cars - could Attack/Evoman/any other "drifters" come up with suitable (Attack you suggest
2 which sound good )- what will it take to get them there ??
Dai and Robbert Jan - fantastic from both of you - if we can combine a display of our re-manufactured parts together
with a "sales stand" there should be business to do - especially if the "drift" community can be encouraged to come along
(BKV is open to the public and free).
Rupert - fully understand you're tied up on the "commercial" side - but I really like the idea of using a curtainside as a
stage/stand (even just for V3M HQ) - how difficult would access be to the bed??
AV - needed for both "sport" display and probably "repairs" too - Pettaw has offered his "how to" youtube vids" which
look ideal for playing. If the rally and drift boys can come up with similar clips I think it would be ideal!
Many thanks Andy - love your drive to work!!
Needs - as stated I will have my 3mx3m gazebo but ideally it would good to have 2 more and some display tables
also we will need at least 2 cd/dvd playing units to show on screens bigger than a laptop - over to the AV experts -
how can we do this ??? (we can hook into VOC power - or I will bring a genny)
A big thanks for all the suggestions and offers so far - If nobody else V3M will have a good time!!

Has contact been made with Nev, F1Moto? He has a damn nice 300 that would be interesting to a lot of people and sells shiny things. This

Foggy must be up on this, it's his trade ffs
Also, really good idea re: Andy's vid's, they are nothing short of awesome and show the 300 community spirit amazingly.

Hi guys
I'm certainly coming to the BKV, although as my car doesn't fall into the drift/rally category I don't think it really helps your plans!
Looking forward to the display - it all sounds very promising.

Aha june, i should be good for that then

I'll give Nev a buzz and see if he wants to bring to bring the two grey ones along. My megane engine is only a block at the moment, i can sling a head on it and exhaust manifold, but i haven't got an inlet manifold as it was going to be bike carb'd, I think i'l be able to bring an engine stand, its in use at the moment but hopefully that'l be in the car by then. You could, if my car ever gets put together, and if it meets your approval, it could be put display as a 'drift' car, just tell everyone its got a welded diff

, but im heading for fast road, track car if i can

Thomas...............
P.S - I'm also attempting to put together a video showing the 300 in various areas/sports that you can use if its any good

Just a quick confirm of place / dates etc.
Site open from 15th - 18thJune 2012,
Main event 16th(Sat) and 17th(Sun) - the actual BKV shiny car bit will be on the Sunday.
site is in the grounds of Thoresby Hall,(hotel & spa), Thoresby Park, nr Ollerton, Notts, NG22 9WH
(off the A1 between Worksop and Newark.
Camping and caravanning is available on site (free to VOC members and invited V3M bodies) you have
to be invited to come under the clubs DEFRA C&C exeption certs.
"You are invited"
If you are old and frail like me there are a number of Premier Inns and Travelodges in the area, or
you can book into the Hall itself (at huge expense - the VOC have negotiated a members discount
but three nights would still be £500 odd.)
I am hoping that all the 300s will flock together in the V3M land claim (Sion - the displays are a small part
this really is about all 300s - especially ones as good as yours) Anyone wishing to take part in the BKV itself
can move to the judging area on Sunday Morning - or I will arrange to have the cars judged in "our" bit.
NOTE- pander to us old duffers - only VOC members cars are eligible to actually be judged - but any can
be shown.
Now it has to be said - so I'll say it now and get it over with:-
"Do not frighten the horses" - no displays of driving prowess on site (except on screen). Speed limit is
"old fart crawl" EVERYWHERE on site. If staying on site - respect is the order of the day DO NOT ACT
THE PELICAN. Anyboby being stupid will be asked to leave politely, and then asked by me with predjudice
(anybody thinking I won't or can't - think again!) Shouldn't need to mention that again.
Leaving aside the BKV itself - I think this could turn into a really good V3M weekend!!
If anybody is in contact with Aymat - is there any chance of getting him over?? - and the Farrell creature
has been missing of late - can someone fill in his diary for him ??

We will be there, both days probably, although I don't have anything suitable for the display

. Most likely will be in the 340 Saturday and the 360 Sunday as I'm fairly local to the venue.

I have a mac mini that I could bring along for running any presentations off - has DVI out (maybe HDMI if I buy a new one between now and then!) and doesn't consume much power (if that's an issue!).I'm also willing to help during the day as I'm sure to be there!

I had a word with Nev today, he said he'd more than likely be able to come along with the two grey ones, but we'll see closer to the time of the show

Hope this helps, Thomas.........
