you need to install bittorrent! where have you been the last 10 years!?! then use bittorrent to open the file

depends what files you're dealing with, but I often download about 5gig a day wit BitTorrent... The whole point of BitTorrent is to share files... You almost invariably end up uploading more than you download, but it helps a lot to have the appropriate ports open and be using a decent client (I use Azureus, but ABC and a few others are still much better than the 'official' ones, even if you don't like Java)

I believe the conventional wisdom is that Bitorrent is only really any good (in terms of performance) for very recent releases, as old torrents die quickly.
