Woah!! Redline... That's scary stuff - the assault, I mean...
Christ - I didn't realise how many students there are on here! This is supposed to be a freakin' old mans car! Well, surprise surprise... I'm a student (21 y/o) - but a retired one... That is to say, I completed my degree in June and am now retired - for the foreseeable future, anyway. When I can be arsed I will be launching a Classic car business with a fantastic mate of mine who is a bit of a business tycoon. He's currently 25, but set up his first business at 18 (Soho Business Networking) which became the largest of its type. Having had a nervous breakdown he was advised to 'quit before it kills you' by his doctor - but now he wants a piece of the action again... *Fab*
Watch this space...
I hate working for other people, hence I've always worked for myself - in my early years dealing in "cherished 'plates" - personalised number plates to you & me and, over the last four years, property developing - which is why I emerged from Sussex Uni with a 'Desmond', or a 2:2 level degree. I was shocked - I didn't deserve it, would've been happy with a third!

perhaps by the time the classic car business is up and running our 300's will be recognized as a classic and we can give you lots of work LOL
dare I ask what SOHO business networking was all about , I mean theres only one sort of business Soho is famous for and the people who network them are called pimps LOL

Indeed, Redline - 300s would definitely be recognised as classics in my eyes - and luckily my mate has a similarly bad taste in cars as me - although he tends to drive much more flash stuff - a TVR at the mo! Wasn't that an unfortunate name for a business?! But I can safely say it had nothing to do with what you were thinking - or not as far as I know, anyway!! He is kinda dodgy, tho, come to mention it...

I have my own business doing odd computer bits and web design, re-sell hosting etc. Also do some light and sound operating and rigging in spare time. Hope to get the 340 sign written in a few weeks.
Incidentally it's been SORN for 18 months, and today went in for a service and MOT. One of the brakes had seized up, and that was it. He sorted that, did the normal service and it went through the MOT fine
. I'll tax it tomorrow and give it a good clean.

LOL!!! No, I don't think so!redline wrote:Was signwriting a volvo option then James LOL
I'm also looking around for the added options, and a rev counter may still be on the list. I've put some speakers in the rear parcel shelf, and a newer JVC radio/cassette. Once I've bought the touch screen it'll have an on board Windows XP computer.

right so for the next meet we have, sound and lighting technicians , computer whizzes to do the special effects, Pete farrell to build the stage , a sales co-ordinator to err co-ordinate sales ,a physio to deal with the injured , various students to make up the crowd, a train driver to get us all there (oh no scratch that we will have our cars ) thtbt to tell us about early retirement and do a bit of restoration for us then 2.3 litre can do the spraywork ,special can bring some specially adapted equipment to transport drunken souls and I will look after the kids all we need now is a band and we have a gig. SORTED

Funny you should say that...redline wrote:...all we need now is a band and we have a gig. SORTED
